My boyfriend and I came for the Groupon Sunday brunch deal AND because I LOVE live jazz music. This is our second time here. We first came during evening, so it was nice to come during the day. The deal entailed unlimited mimosas for two and $60 worth of food. WARNING: come with an empty stomach, ready to eat and early! Service was good and although we experienced delays, it was understandable because of the rush that suddenly came in. Nonetheless, the waiters were good to us--checking in just the right amount of times and ready to refill our mimosas. My boyfriend and I ordered the following: Wedge salad w/ fried oysters, which we rate a 3/5 stars. It was anything too extra out of the ordinary and they forgot the oysters in the beginning. Still, it was a good starter. We then moved onto the shrimp and grits which we gave a 4/5. We thought it was missing a zest element, but the four shrimps that topped the grits were HUGE. Overall taste: DELICIOUS! Then, we received the french toast and short rib benedict. The french toast was AMAZINGLY GOOD, so we gave it a 5. It was a simple but perfect in taste challah french toast topped with fresh strawberries. The short rib benedict on the other hand needed more. We gave it a 3.5/5. My boyfriend suggested chopped avocados or just something to balance its texture. In order to fulfill the $60, we ordered a margherita pizza to go. We were just so full from everything we ordered. In all, it was a great Sunday brunch and the ambience was perfect. Just come early to get good seats and you're set! Groupon helped make the experience even better because without it, I don't think our wallets would've liked us afterwards. Haha!

Standing room ticket holders beware. Management and staff made us move twice to setup VIP tables in the walkway even though they had told us we were in the correct area to start. No explanation, just "EXCUSE ME. COMING THROUGH. YOU MUST MOVE. YOU CAN'T STAY HERE". By the time they told us to move, the crowd was thick and there was no where to go but in back. Although the clientele was very well dressed and docile, two drunk Boca B**'s tried to stand in front of us about twenty minutes before the show ended. We were prepared for some Housewives of Boca Raton realness when a VIP table holder slung a glass across the floor to show her disgust with the drunk and rude two. Nearly a high heel throw down. That may have been the highlight of the show!

Unfortunately the food and service has slipped since last season. The menu is more limited and they still can't pull it off. I love the room and they have great entertainment so I still will be there, but make sure you have dinner first. Have had the lamb sliders, gamey, over done with limp fries. The tuna is covered in layers of unknown creamy stuff, not very appetizing.

Beautiful place with great events. With the aromas that were permeating from the kitchen, my hopes were high. I ordered the veal chop and when it hit the table it looked great. Unfortunately, things changed when I sliced into it. It was cooked to rare (ordered medium-rare) and was loaded with fat, veins, and gristle. Very rubbery! Maybe I got a bad cut, but what a bummer! We also ordered a filet (medium) that was well done and very chewy. When our waiter (who was nice) asked how everything was, I told him, "not very wonderful" but he walked away with a smile. Maybe he didn't hear me..I'm not sure. He didn't come back for a long time. I had to flag other servers down for more wine. I honestly think he may have had tables on the other side of the restaurant and kept forgetting about us. Anyhow, back to the food...I will say that the mashed potatoes were delicious, but when you spend $150 per ticket, $20 for shrimp cocktail (5 shrimp), $43 for the veal, and $35 for the filet, that gets a bit upsetting. On another note we were celebrating a birthday which was mentioned when making the reservation by saying how excited I was to celebrate a birthday with a concert. We never ordered dessert, nor requested anything. Dessert was brought to our table with a candle and we were charged for it! Craziness! I enjoyed the show, but am not sure I will ever eat there again.

First impressions go a long way with this kid... and Jazziz made a solid first impression. Strolled by during an after dinner walk through Mizner and saw upcoming show posters mounted out front and some decent old-school jazz coming from within. We decided to step in to check out the newly opened jazz club. We entered though a small bar area (nice area but quiet), then entered the main room which includes dining area, huge bar, performance stage for live acts and cocktail tables (area to eat drink and watch the performances). The main bar area was quite busy and you'll notice the volume right away; the music is very loud so you are forced to talk even louder to hear each other. There is an outdoor bar area so maybe it's a bit easier to communicate over there (although summer heat may have something to say about that). Overall the jazz that was being performed was nostalgic of the great jazz days and once the live performance was done the variety of tunes they played through the house speakers was just as impressive. Even though they were brand new when I had visited, it was reassuring to see the staff was trained well. Our server was friendly, attentive and made solid dessert and drink suggestions. The manager (possibly the owner) even made his rounds around the place inquiring of people's thoughts on the place and if he could offer anything to make our stays any better. The only downer of the night was the clientele... sadly the tables were mostly empty and the bar area had too many middle aged gents that looked like grown up versions of the jersey shore. I'm hoping it's not the norm. Overall though I enjoyed and I would return for drinks, music and dessert but I'd probably pass on a dinner though (only because I like to carry a conversation with my dinner guests over dinner but believe that may be difficult).

Boo jazziz, not impressed. We came here on a Friday or Saturday night around 11pm. No band playing, stopped for a drink that seemed watered down. Crowd was very small, not many people out on a weekend night which I found strange. I was told the band was on break but after an hour, we decided to leave after seeing no band.

There was a $25 person food charge and a $35 per person charge for food at the table. The best part of the evening was the waiter who was very nice. The food was mediocre and overpriced and entertainment was amateur. We left early. I would recommend checking carefully who is performing and sitting in the bar.

Jazziz ins just not all that! Went to Manhatten Transfer tonight. After 3 or 4 songs I realized it was not my thing but I probably would have stayed and had a few drinks if the service hadn't been soooo awful!!! There were 2 bartenders working tonight for a sold out show. One was pouring drinks for for the wait staff to take to tables and the other had to cover the entire bar. Except that he kept leaving to deliver pizza, place settings or whatever (I guess the wait staff left a bit to be desired as well!). He seemed like a very friendly guy, but just not enough of him to go around. For Jazziz Nightlife (which admittedly has some great acts!), you have 3 choices: - Reserve a table and pay outrageous Manhatten prices for mediocre food and decent but not great sound - Buy a bar ticket and show up early to get a seat at the bar. Sounds great but there aren't enough seats so you have to go pretty early and when the bar fills up all the people who don't have a seat have nowhere to go they stand in front of you - Buy a bar ticket and show up on time which means you have nowhere to sit (you used to be able to sit outside, but they no longer leave the windows open so you can't hear and there is no bar service outside when the windows are closed). In either of the last two, the sound is pretty bad and worsens as you move away from the tables. I may go to Jazziz again just because they do get great acts (this is why I gave them 2 instead of 1 star), but not unless it someone I really love enough to make it worth it to put up with the lousy venue!

A unique venue in Boca with great music but fair food. it's important to support a music venue such as this. That's why I gave it four stars. I wish the food was more inventive, healthy or not so much like a standard restaurant. A bar menu would be a great option, I think that they try but can't get the restaurant park down. The atmosphere is fantastic and I'll continue to come back just to support the place.

Long overdue review. What can I say more than the 5 stars I have given them. Well, let's start with the best venue in Boca Raton for 32-65 age bracket. The crowd varies but they all look like they are all having a great time. Yes you have your cougars there, you also have your lions too. All chasing, all hunting for the next best laugh and great time. I have tasted their food, and I can say it is pretty good, for a music venue. Definitely a date night spot and a place to meet your friends and listen to great bands and dance all night long. I have met one of the owners and always comes over and shakes my hand and asks, how is everything? Always with a smile. I can say that if I ever had a complaint, he would take care of it immediately. Hands on kinda owner. The drinks are on point and don't hurt the wallet as much as you would think from the looks of the place. The place is high end, and the service is good. Btw, it also has a cigar area in the back that you can enjoy an stogie and talk business with your associates if that is your thing. Jazziz, great job and keep it going. I am a fan and will continue to visit. Thanks again for the great times.

We had a table for 16 and had plenty of room to eat, drink, dance & lounge. The food was surprisingly good including the butternut squash ravioli. The wait staff was attentive & fast! But we loved the music! The 2nd live band of the night featured a female singer that could quite possibly be one of the best I've ever heard live.

Jazziz is a large establishment, offering live music to go along with good food and drink. The outstanding value is happy hour from 4-7PM. Drinks and appetizer menu prices are reduced. Specialty drinks...Daiquiri's, for example are full price ($12). We got a White Pizza for only $8, which was delicious. We then ordered a N.Y. Strip steak with fries, to share. This is not on the happy hour menu and cost a whopping $48. It was very good, but way too expensive. There were three different groups playing and singing...they were great. Jazziz has a fun vibe, but can get expensive.

The Seasonal Grand Opening of Jazziz Nightlife was a grand event with delicious food and specialty cocktails. As soon as my husband and I walked in we were greeted by a hostess who welcomed us and gave us each a glass of champagne and pointed us to a tray of caviar canapes. The party was supposed to start at 7 PM. At about 7:20 PM it was already crowded. Most of the tables were taken. I found a large booth tucked between the seafood bar and the steak table. We took a seat and watched everything going on around us. There was a long bar on one side of the room. It was jammed with people. On the other side was a raised stage where a really good band played. The band and singers were terrific. The music was more pop than jazz. The sound system was great. There were four food stations at various locations around the room. In spite of the crowd I didn't encounter any long lines for food: Table 1 had platters of ham and cheeses from different countries. Each platter had a card identifying the country and the food. There was a plate with toast and a platter with different kinds of beans, peppers, and pickles. Table 2 had small cups of ceviche, oysters on the half shell, and large shrimp with cocktail sauces. Table 3 had canapes of skirt steak and fillet Mignon. Table 4 had desserts. There was snicker doodle cookies, chocolate bourbon walnut bars, chocolate truffles, and profiteroles. In addition to the food tables servers kept coming around with plates of hor d'oeuvres. These included sweat potato risotto balls, crab salad on crackers, foie gras, pork belly, and pizzas. Everything I ate was delicious but I especially liked the pizza which was served hot with plenty of gooey cheese. There were several tables serving specialty drinks with names like Absolute Elyx Martini and Colonial Beefeater Gin Punch. If you didn't like the specialty drinks you could always order at the bar. As the evening went on the crowd thinned and people got out on the dance floor. The food tables were kept stocked with food throughout the evening. The servers kept coming around with more food. On my way out I was given a bag containing Jazziz Magazine and a jazz CD. It is impossible for me to fairly judge a restaurant based on an upscale party. I have read mixed reviews about Jazziz Nightlife on Yelp and a not so great review in last weeks Sun Sentinel. I plan to go back for dinner and when I do I will update this review.

Just walked in and it's like a flash back to the 90s. We've been sitting in our booth for 10 minutes with no service and for drinkers like us we would have had atleast 2 drinks a piece. (There's 4 of us). I feel bad for the owners of places like these that lose so much money due to bad service. The atmosphere is alright if you're open minded a little bit of the boca riff raffle which is sometimes good, good thing about this place is the live band

This is a breakdown of how the seating system works: General Seating: You won't be allowed anywhere near the stage, only around the bar area. They'll set up some make-shift chairs on a far back wall that have a good view of the stage but may be embarrassing for you to sit in (but you could also stand or get a stool at the bar). Premium Seating: There is a long/wide corridor set up with tables to one side of the stage. This is where you will be sitting. I got lucky and was at the front of the corridor, at a table closest to the stage, but I would have been pissed if I had to sit at a table in the back. VIP Seating: You will have either a table right in front of the stage or with only two or three tables in front of you. All good seats--with some booths for bigger parties. ****All people sitting at tables both Premium and VIP are required to pay an additional $35 bucks, so come hungry or thirsty. I ended up ordering 2 deserts and didn't like either. ****It was hot as hell outside and for some reason it took a really long time for them to let us in after the doors opened. If you have a Premium Seat, be first in line, otherwise, you have a slim chance of getting a good seat, I'd just pay more for VIP---especially if you really love the act that is playing. ****My biggest gripe was the background noise coming from the bar and kitchen crew. Drinks being made and the clanging of dishes could be heard throughout the entire performance. I saw Sandra Bernhard (who didn't enjoy her time at Jazziz either) and when she sang, the noise wasn't that bad, but when she talked, it was really irritating. I would only go to Jazziz if it was my only chance to see a much beloved artist. PS: You can also park for free in the shopping center's underground free parking area.

As mediocre as my previous experiences have been the one tonight was particularly glaring - I arrived about an hour into the performance and was told that it would be $100 to $ 150 / per person to see the rest of the show - the place was half empty so I was willing to spring for a cover at the bar area ...the" charm challenged " girls at the door were less than cordial- I'm sure a reflection of management which from all appearances is clueless ! Bottom line-I was hoping this can be a destination place and a nice addition to the center - food is mediocre and if they charge exorbitant prices for a second tier act I'm afraid that the location will be vacant again in not too distant future .

Gorgeous club. Excellent food. Audience would not shut up during the jazz and the kitchen crew was shouting at each other during the set. Cherish this place before it goes out of business!

Greatly disappointed. Had "general admission" tkts for Sandra Bernhard so I brought 6 people thinking we could grab a table near the bar and get drinks, appetizers while enjoying the "$40 value" per tkt. so such luck. Noisy, no seats, SRO, a loud, obnoxious woman at the bar...who should have been thrown out, but wasn't. Bottom line do not get General Admission unless you want to stand for the show.

Sure the ambiance is great to see performers up close but everything else is not. You get a burger with fries for $17 but order anything else above that price and fries are $8 for a basket, which is not even listed on the menu. Drinks are super pricey too. $14 & up for most items. Service is sketchy.

1/29/14: I love this joint. Classy atmosphere. Had great drinks and wonderful entertainment and got a good table on a weeknight. We plan to return. Sept 2014: we returned for the Tierney Sutton show and it was great again but one thing ticked me off; there was a $5 charge on my bill for asking for my cocktail to be served "up." a) that's just silly; how can $5 be justified for shaking a drink and leaving out the ice? b) waitress should have informed me but she was a little bit inattentive; in fact, we had to ask another waiter for something (salt) after she'd overlooked us for a while. Reducing my rating from the original 4 stars to three and now not so sure we'll come running back unless it's a really good act.

This place may be different other times but DON'T EVER go here on New Years Eve! What a rip off!! $200 per for the worst meal ever. That included the customary one small glass of crap champagne as well. Service was horrible mostly due to the kitchen being unable to get the food out. The funniest part was that they had David Cassidy show up 20 seconds before midnight and give a toast and then immediately leave. That was supposed to be the highlight of the night. While I realize that NYE is strictly for amateurs, this was beyond the worst.

A huge disappointment. Food was skimpy for the price, and too much fried stuff. Venue was entertaining but not to our liking? No dress code? Some people were in shorts and flip flops and grungy jeans. Yuk! Not what I want to see even on Thursday night.

I saw Sheila E last night...I was disappointed for a number of reasons. #1 If you order a General Admission ticket for $50 don't expect to get a seat. Apparently you have to shell out $75-95 for the concert itself to get a seat, and then order a meal which you can expect to pay an obscene amount for #2 The smoking policy - so it's difficult to find a seat (let alone difficult to find a seat with a view of the stage), then you have to stand next to (or sit next to if you're lucky) someone smoking cigs for most of the show. Not a great concert going experience and I've been to many venues.

If I could give this please 0 stars I would gladly do so. We came in for what we thought was going to be a great Sunday brunch at around 12pm. They didn't have room inside so we sat outdoor. We were given mimosas, and waited .... and waited ... and waited - 45 minutes later and a lone cesar salad shows up. 30 minutes later we got two egg dishes ice cold, 15 minutes later an omelet,. Side dishes came 5 minutes before the check. I don't know where the ball was dropped here but it is unacceptable for a business to treat customers in this way. I will not be returning.

This is a great place to eat and listen to music. The bar and wait staff are excellent and helpful with food choices. We aecatvthe bar for happy hour: we were served the freshest Caesar salad and the pizza was deleece. There is n eclectic mix of performers and we were lucky to see Keiko Matsui. I wish this was in Chicago!

While the entertainment was great, the service was horrific. Took one hour just to get drinks, then another 1/2 hour to get served. Sat down at 6:30 and no one came to the table until 7:30 and that was only because I complained. The amazing thing was that my son bought me a $100 gift certificate from Jazziz. When they gave me my check I gave them my gift certificate. The waiter and manager told me that they do not accept gift certificates. IT WAS FROM THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. So they took my son's $100 but would not honor the certifiacate which was only 60 days old. Would not return if it was for free. Worst dining experience I ever had. By the way, the table that I paid EXTRA for was basically BEHIND the stage. Could not see the performer at all.

Beautiful venue. Rude employees though, can ruin an evening really fast. How about some quality TRAINING??? I won't be going back and I will find music and food elsewhere. Jazziz has nice window dressing, but there's got to be more to it than that! I waited over two hours for a table and was treated very rudely by the host, who proclaimed himself "one of the nicest guys in the business!" I also spoke with the general manager twice about the situation. He walked past me for two hours and looked right at me several times. When I finally told him I was leaving, he said "I'll give you a great table right now." But, it was too late. The band I came to hear was finishing up their last set. My review did not mention the food or service, because I did not get that far even after over two hours while other parties of he same size, and without reservations were seated..

If you decided to play jazz club this is what you would experience, the owners have to be nuts to think, there are enough idiots to pay $150, for a table to see Sandra Bernhardt, plus cover. While some of the staff try most act as if they are in some VIP club in Miami or NYC, this attitude starts with the owners and filters town to the hostess and wait staff, most of the crowd were general admission at discounted prices, which means standing room, they are so stupid they don't even have a cocktail waitress working the crowd. This play game will be over soon, too bad because we need a venue like this, but one that works and is thoughtfully run.

My mom and I have only been once but so far we love it. It is such a fun atmosphere...the music is great and the food is delicious! I wish they had more of a selection though! Subpar service, really expensive drinks ($13 for a jack and ginger?!). Seriously?! Sound system leaves a lot to be desired. You'd have to pay me to go back. Very disappointing. I was also really offended by the band's (Manhattan Transfer) request to keep the noise level at the bar down so the VIP tables could hear better. What is this, a caste system??? VIPs are a few feet from the stage. The bar was hardly a noisy area. Really insulting.

After showing up for Bob James & David Sanborn way back when it opened, I promised I would never be back due to the incredibly rude and obnoxious women checking people in, and assigning seats. I cannot imagine they limit the sales of the more expensive seats, the more the merrier, who cares where we seat them? But they had one of my favorite bands - - Acoustic Alchemy - - and to see them in this tiny venue was nothing short of fabulous. And now they are having the Rippingtons! I guess I have to go back, pay my $150 between VIP tickets and the minimum, just not real happy about this place that has all of the qualities that Boca Raton has proudly earned over the years - - arrogant, selfish, insincere, careless, and cold!

i have been wanting to check this place out for a while now & finally did last night, After reading all these reviews, Im glad i went on a Wed night to a FREE show...Randy Bernsen. No cover or minimum to buy. Did not eat here, only drank. Drinks are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ($10 captain & Coke). Ambiance is nice. I probably will not return due to the reviews here & the ridiculous seating & cover charge/minimum pp

I had an incredible experience at this place, including an incredible Jazz performance by David Sanborn. I was sitting to the side of the stage and still got full sound of the performance! Now for what you are all wondering, how was the food? I got the braised short rib sliders to start, these were beyond phenomenal! The meat was incredibly tender, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor! Now for you spicey lovers this was just spicey enough to compliment the flavor of the meat, as well as a hint of cheese, and pickled jalapeño's. I know what your thinking now "pickled jalapeños? How could that be good?" I thought that as well but it really truly worked. The first words out of my mouth after the first bite was, "I just had a foodgasm!" I definitely suggest having a beer with this like Hopp Gun by Funky Buddha, with these sliders. Oh and the hummus was very good too for you health fans. Now for the main course I had the 10oz skirt steak, damn near impossible to screw up, to start this steak had a chimichurri and a tomato salsa. This steak was phenomenal and extremely tender I swapped out the potatoes for the asparagus though. I loved this steak so much it was tender, spicey, and medium rare, just the way I love it. And for the record the tomato salsa brought this meal to a whole new level!
Great entree, very tastefully paired. However, some of the food was very undercooked. The environment is also very nice, band relaxed. However, I was deeply disappointed in the service. What we thought was going to a a one to two hour lunch took four hours, and the restaurant was not even busy. Our server took 20 minutes to get back every time, was slow on drink refills, and didn't keep checking back with us. We waited 15 minutes after we got our food to receive silverware because not enough was provided for the table, as well as having to ask multiple times for things. Very disappointed in the service, and I would not recommend to anyone looking for a place for brunch within a reasonable time frame.

Jazziz has great happy hour everyday from 4-7 so you can't beat it. The bar is great and the drinks are excellent. Had a couple of appetizers also which were very good. The music is great and the place is definitely upscale and clean. Great crowd and the service is excellent. Definitely a place to go to relax with great drinks and live music.

This was the worse night I spent in years. When we bought the tickets we thought we were seeing a show in a theatre. It turned out to be a night spot. To top it off, after spending a lot for the tickets, we were told (after sitting down) there was a cover charge of $35.00 per person. So now we were forced to order horrible food or leave. Why wasn't a sign posted at the front stating a cover charge of $35.00 per person? I think the whole place is a scam!!!!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!! There was a couple next to us was shocked to hear about cover charge and wanted to leave and was told NO REFUNDS........now does that tell you something about this JOINT?

I can agree on a great atmoshpere but the service and food need fixing. I ordered a 5 oz lobster tail for $19 in addition to my $37 skirt steak and you figure you would get a actual tail...I kid you not i got one claw already out of the shell dont waste a extra $19 on the tail because chances are it wont be a tail. When i questioned the waiter about it he literally walked away. Im not cheap but im not a sucker...I will not be going back any time soon.

We had patio tickets for Brian McNight each ticket was $30 for a Sunday night performance. All we got was a sound performance via a P A system... Ther was Absolutely NO WAY to even see him by way of video or window! We could have stood outside the front of Jazziz and had a better show for free with a TV monitor. We should have stayed home and listened to a CD!! Th establishment was nasty and un accommodating

This review is for the new brunch. I saw a groupon and thought it was a great opportunity to try it out. If I was paying full price I'd Be furious. The ambiance is why I gave it two stars. The place needs to stick with what it's know for, jazz music. We got there a little after 11 so it wasn't busy yet and we had a table right up front near the stage. It was really great to hear live music while eating brunch. But sadly, this is really the only high point. The groupon was a great deal 35 for 60 worth of food including unlimited mimosas. The price on menu for the unlimited mimosas was 15/person so with just drinking alone we made out money wise. The menu was basically a lunch/dinner menu with 3 breakfast type offerings ( challah french toast, shrimp and grits with a poached egg, and a fritatta) everything else was pizzas, seafood, steak, burgers etc. I opted for the shrimp and grits, the BF got the challah french toast and asked for a side of bacon. The side was 6 bucks so we assumed it's a pretty decent portion of bacon. We got our meals no side of bacon accompanied. We asked our server about it maybe another 8/10 minutes later she comes back with a plate of 3 slices of greasy what seemed like microwaved bacon. The BF was fuming. Considering we had a threshold in spending to meet anyway to maximize our groupon I didn't mind. If that was real $$ I'd be fuming too. The shrimp and grits were pretty good, the BF really enjoyed the French Toast it has powdered sugar and berries on it. We had to get something else to meet our 60 spending , so we got the PEI mussels. They have changed up their recipe from when I had it months ago and it is better. The overall service was EXTREMELY slow. It took awhile to get refills of mimosas and coffee. And we were in resturant jail waiting for our bill. The Mimosas btw were pretty weak. Coffee was good. Upon leaving the manager asked me how the food was, I responded ok and told him my complaint about the portion and cost of the bacon side. He seemed to care less.. why even ask? Again this place needs to stick to what it knows: a jazz club.

The food is surprisingly good albeit small plates- one of us loved the brisket burger, another had an interesting combo of Caesar salad, lobster stuffed (mini) potato and an 8 inch pizza. Two of us had the ahi tuna and found it delicious. The entertainment was quite, well entertaining. While we were there for an early pre-theater dinner, it looks as if it would be great for an evening hang out

Not only is this a perfect place to listen to the biggest names in jazz music today in a most intimate setting, but they also have world-class gourmet food with an extensive wine and beer selection, and great service. You might also be sitting next to a big celebrity! They are known to hang out there on a regular basis. To make things even better, Jazziz has been super generous and donated TONS of concert tickets to be raffled at local events that benefit the local animal shelter, the Tri County Animal Rescue of Boca Raton. Thanks Jazziz, we can not thank you enough!

It's been a while since I went to a real jazz club. Matter of fact, it's been since my college days. It was also the last time I saw Spyro Gyra live in an intimate venue. I was invited by a friend to see Spyro Gyra at Jazziz in Boca Raton, which for me was quite a trek in Friday evening rush hour traffic. The show start time was 7:30 and I left my office at 5:30. Luckily my Waze program showed me some good alternatives and got us there on time for the show. Our table was literally pressed up against the stage, right in front of Jay Beckenstein (band founder and saxophonist). The atmosphere was upscale yet welcoming, not pretentious at all. Everyone was dressed nicely and the staff gave us a warm welcome and great service throughout the evening. Even with my dietary restrictions, I was able to enjoy some fabulous tapas styled fare. All the food was quite flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our waitress, although young, was quite attentive and delightful. She knew her menu and was able to give us the full run down and help us settle into our dinner and drink choices. Now to the music. First off, if you ever get to see a band the caliber of Spyro Gyra, who in my humble opinion, founded the progressive "smooth jazz" movement, Jazziz is a great venue to see them. No matter where you sit, the incredible sound system reaches right through to your soul and brings you right in. Stage lighting was very complimentary to the music. With a great atmosphere, incredible sound system, great food and incredible music, this was the perfect place to spend a rare date night my wife and I get to take while still being fully responsible for 2 children. From a once wanna be musician who loves music and loves to eat, kudos to the Drs Fagien on a world class Jazz club. Dr. Todd Narson Miami Beach, FL

Went here to see Rick Springfield. We had general admission tickets which means you have to stand by the bar the whole time which is cramped and gets uncomfortable with the amount of people in there. Now we know in the future to really enjoy a show here you really must get a table which can get pricey since you must spend a minimum on food and drink. Not sure if it's worth it unless it's an artist you really want to see and they are not playing anywhere else in the area.

Would have enjoyed our evening MUCH more had anyone told us that the $100 "Premium" (plus $35 Min.) tickets we purchased for Gino Vanelli were for partially obstructed (on-stage instruments, Large Bass Player) view seating at tables far Right of the Stage. The folks in front of the stage with great views bought $150 "VIP" Seating. Nowhere does it tell you this. When I approached the GM Charlie Droog about this, he basically blew me off, trying to convince me that our seats were just fine. Other than that, the Venue and Sound System are great, the Food and Service were much better than expected and as long as you purchase VIP Tickets you will have a very nice evening.

Jazziz is a beautiful venue to enjoy jazz and have a fun night out. My wife and I went hot here to hear Spyro Gyra about 6 weeks ago. We parked at the free Mizner Center parking garage a short walk away. After a short wait at the door we were shown to our seats since we purchased tickets the day before due to the popularity of the group. We found the service to be friendly and courteous. We really didn't come to eat so I ordered the burger and my wife ordered a salad. Our food was promptly delivered. My wife enjoyed her mixed drink as well as her meal. Same for me. The show was great and the band hung around after each show for autographs and pictures. TripAdvisor gives Jazziz 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and I agree. Jazziz is a fun night out.

Best bar for music in Boca area. Outstanding scotch selection, premium cigars, great entertainment, fabulous menu. Can't miss any night.

We went to Jazziz for dinner on a crowded Saturday night and had very nice service. We got drinks almost as soon as we sat down. They have a small, but quality beer selection. The apps were very good. I had the swordfish for my meal, which was also very good. However, the real reason to go is to listen to the Jazz! We were lucky - saw two different bands play. The second of which was a latin-style band which we thought were amazing. We'll definitely go back next time we are in Boca.

This is one beautifully decorated, dinner-nightclub to see. A giant room filled with dinner and drink tables, a grand stage and an endless bar. The sound of live jazz floods the entire space. For a jazz concert it doesn't get much nicer than this. But for a swanky night of jazz, drinks and dinner, the loud music overwhelms any hope of conversation. We tried to escape to some outdoor, patio tables with fans, and watched others do the same, but found the summer humidity unappetizing. Our party of six left after one drink and enjoyed dinner and dialogue elsewhere. I think management needs to soundproof the large dining area into sections where the music and show can be front and center for some and more background entertainment for others. I know I would be jazzed to return to a setup like that.

Terrible Band. Food was over priced plus the on line menu is was not what you get in the restaurant...totally different menu. Very poor. My wife ordered a drink which she didn't like which they charged her after they took it back. The waitress was embarrassed but her boss would not take it off the bill. Not a good experience. Very bad public relations

I went for a birthday gathering. The birthday girl had a room reserved which was surrounded by glass, very small and intimate but you could still hear the live entertainment just outside the glass. The waitress was nice but seemed a little uninterested in our group. Just a little but she was kind enough I guess. We had finger foods served to the group which consisted of wings with a side of BBQ sauce and small pizzas. I didn't try the wings or pizza so I can't comment on them but my husband said the wings were tasteless. I ordered the lobster salad. The salad was $19. It was made up of butter lettuce, diced sweet mango, diced avocado, and sliced almonds with a creamy lemon dressing. It was a decent sized salad and tasted okay. The dressing could have been better. I thought it was also tasteless. The mango REALLY helped the salad but there wasn't enough of it so I found myself rationing the mango so that I could have a little in every bite. The lobster was chilled and there was barely enough of it. The Jazz lounge was nice but I wouldn't really consider the music on this particular night, to be jazzy. More old school jams and a live band. They were good but not my kind of jazz. The crowd was older but lively. Overall, I had a nice time. This place is a bit far from my home so I probably won't be back but I would recommend it to friends looking to have a nice mellow evening.

BAD EXPERIENCE for several reasons. I paid $65 for premier seats. I got a side seat down a hallway. I was told that if there was a no show I could take another seat of the same level but those were against a wall BEHIND the band. I went to order a drink and was told that there was a $35 minimum order pp by our waitress. I questioned it and was not happy. the manager came over and told us that the waitress said that we were unhappy but this was their policy but they would waive it for us only tonight. We have the money and are professionals in our late 40s and early 50s. The rest of the crowd were clearly baby boomers ant they were being ageists. On top of the situation, the band played for only one hour and 15 minutes, hardly worth what we paid for. Tip===sit at the bar for free and listen, the seats were great there. By the way, we had burgers and beers for 40 dollars in the Dubliner at 6pm before the show and that meal was great! Jazziz is trying to pull the wool over some ones head. .but not ours. We dont recommend and will not go back

The place was honestly really nice. The entertainment was great but the service was horrible. The employees were so rude to us that we felt forced to leave the restaurant. Never in my life have I been so mistreated by a server. Was very displeased and I will seriously never go there again.

Gotta agree with everyone else... This is my fourth visit here... LOVE the ambiance, Boca def needs a place like this, but if they don't work on the service, it won't last... Too slow and no one cares if you get served in a timely manner and/or get what you wanted.

Last night we went to Jazziz to see Acoustic Alchemy; they were doing two shows, one at 7 pm and the other at 9 pm. We went to 7 pm show, got there about 6:40 pm. Parked in the free garage about a block away. Purchased my tickets through LivingSocial, which limited us to where we could sit. You could sit at the bar (when we arrived the bar was full) or outside (bar would eventually open to the outside). The bar was full since it was still Happy Hour (real reasonable) plus the food was not as expensive as the regular menu. We chose to sit in the back where there were some couches which gave us a side view of the stage (there were dinner tables in front of us). Just before the start of the show, a server showed us to a table, a nice surprise. We did not have to pay anything extra for being closer to the stage. The servers were pleasant, never push anything on us, but did ask if we needed anything. The one sort of complaint that we had, is that where we sitting (close to the wall) got awful cold. Maybe they wanted to keep the band comfortable, and it looked like all the ceiling vents are by the wall. Overall, we had enjoyable evening, we liked the venue and Acoustic Alchemy had the place rocking.

The band was amazing, however the venue has serious management problems. It started with them stating they would not open the windows for people who were sitting outside to listen to the music. There were not enough seats for general admission which we were well aware of, however we wanted to eat and drink and the only place to do that was from the outside area. At $15 a drink they should want us to drink freely. The manager did finally accommodate us, but the service was horrible. It took nearly 25 minutes for 8 of us to order drinks. They brought us menus but were only able to bring us one bar menu. We rdered a salad which cost $15 in was no bigger than a side salad and was terrible. We ordered a burger which arrived with cheese Eventhough it was not listed on the menu. We had to return it because we can't eat cheese. When the burger finally arrived it was terrific although it should be for $18. At the end of the night , a server took away half of my $15 drink. When I discussed it with the manager his response was basically well we accommodated you by putting all of you at this table and sometimes people take drinks. He did offer me another drink, but at this point I was so annoyed and the band had stopped plane and we were ready to leave. The prices for the quality of food are very high. If you buy general admission tickets be prepared to have to stand and eat and drink. We were aware we may not get a seat, but I would think at $12-$15 a drink they would want us to be as comfortable as possible.Buyer beware.

Cigar bar is very comfortable. Our bartender was great. Knowledgable and attentive. The band in the main space was terrific and the food was excellent although our waiter was not the most customer service oriented.

Fabulous venue for a great evening of top quality music, great food and drinks in a classy atmosphere reminiscent of rat pack era nightclubs. Give them a chance to work out the kinks. This place is fabulous! It is too soon to leave bad reviews...they can ruin a business. I want Jazziz around for a long time to come!

Elegant and great jazz! We didn't eat there, but we enjoyed drinks and the live music and we thought it was fantastic. They offer outdoor seating and you can hear the music throughout while catching a glimpse of the entertainment. Also, nice bar seating is available at the indoor bar with outdoor access. Great to have them at Meisner!

Where's the Jazz? It's all here! If you love jazz this is your spot. I don't know many jazz spot but this is it for me. I have had the opportunity to be there two different occasions and both were great. Beautiful set up for the restaurant and bar. The bands that perform are all professional artist. The food is good and $$$$ but the service that comes with it all worth it. Once the place starts to fill up, it can get a little tight with space. I totally recommend this spot to jazz lovers!

I've been here a couple times recently and they didn't disappoint. Drink only the first time we listened to soft recorded jazz music. The bartenders were attentive. I liked the wine choices by the glass. This second time I enjoyed a live jazz show. We arrived an hour prior and got seated right away and enjoyed an excellent meal. We only had two appetizers ( so as not to interfere with out wine ). Of mussels in a butter based broth and beef tartare. Both dishes are repeatable. Our waiter was friendly and informative. The only item they need to work on is sending food deliverers to the right tables ... We were brought other peoples meals twice after we had completed out meals. Everything else was spot on. I loved the live music venue.

We had quite an experience last evening. We were a party of four who had an 8:00 reservation. Upon check in for our reservation, we were taken to an outdoor table, when we indicated we wanted to be inside to hear the music, we were taken to an inside table for six. The restaurant was about 15% filled so we asked for a booth which was empty and next to the table we were taken to. We were told we couldn't sit there because the booth was reserved for a party of 6-8 people. We pointed out that we we placed at a table for six, at this point we were told that was an error and we were then moved to another table (third move) for four people. A waiter now comes over and tells us he has multiple reservations for big parties and he doesn't know when he can get to us! Thankfully we were assigned another waiter. Food was average, place is very handsome, every aspect of the service is horrific. At the end of the evening, we asked to speak with the individual to had managed our seating debacle. We indicated that while they had moved us three times the other booth we had asked for had only four people seated at it, he said if you don't like it Don't come back! We will certainly accept his suggestion and not come back. Another review said with Jazziz service levels they will be out of business in six months, I couldn't agree more.

Of course There's Jazz Music , National Acts and so much more but i love Food and this review will be about a few items i tried . Jazziz was made for Great food and a Awesome atmosphere. I was told a old folks tail about this place and a special item on the menu, that could really do damage to my taste buds. Hamburgers are easy to make but to make them taste amazing is another story all together. For 16 bucks it can be a little challenging to get over and when i tell u this burger breaks all boundaries , Lawd have mercy . First understand your not gonna get a greasy ball of fat, with some kind of special sauce, cool bun burn marked to make it cool .no u get a simple hand crafted , baked in house bun with a diverse combo of meat , perfectly melted cheese , pickles, onion and that's it, u might be wondering ( that's it ) bro try it and u better give me some feedback i'm gonna spread the gospel on this one. It comes with hand crafted fries , perfectly salted , Music to make u fall back relax and say ahhhhh.... Wait i'm in a Jazz Club people , the place is beautiful , music is loud so be ready for that, also late night a bunch of rich old people dancing with no rythum is the norm but get past that and the night gets better as it goes on. Enjoy.

That may have been the highlight of the show!

i have been wanting to check this place out for a while now & finally did last night, After reading all these reviews, Im glad i went on a Wed night to a FREE show...Randy Bernsen. No cover or minimum to buy. Did not eat here, only drank. Drinks are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ($10 captain & Coke). Ambiance is nice. I probably will not return due to the reviews here & the ridiculous seating & cover charge/minimum pp

Great place to dance all Friday or Saturday night. No entrance fee after 10 pm. Cool atmosphere and people around. The drinks could be a little bit watered down and some groups are better than another.

We got oysters for an appetizer but they were TINY....I think thats my only complaint but otherwise I can't wait to go back again!

There was a $25 person food charge and a $35 per person charge for food at the table. The best part of the evening was the waiter who was very nice. The food was mediocre and overpriced and entertainment was amateur. We left early. I would recommend checking carefully who is performing and sitting in the bar.

Enjoy.

(2)Kathryn C.

(2)Beth B.
(4)Alex V.

(3)April B.
Nice venue but the service is awful. Waited 15 minutes and had to ask for a server since no one greeted us.
(1)Steven L.
This place gives you what it intends.... Great music. Drink. Food. Service is friendly. If you enjoy live jazz. U just gotta go.

(2)Alex Z.
(1)Gary S.
Gorgeous club. Excellent food. Audience would not shut up during the jazz and the kitchen crew was shouting at each other during the set. Cherish this place before it goes out of business!
(3)Sandy O.
(2)Mike Z.
Sure the ambiance is great to see performers up close but everything else is not. You get a burger with fries for $17 but order anything else above that price and fries are $8 for a basket, which is not even listed on the menu. Drinks are super pricey too. $14 & up for most items. Service is sketchy.
(2)Wayne R.
(3)Ron R.
(1)Fran L.
A huge disappointment. Food was skimpy for the price, and too much fried stuff. Venue was entertaining but not to our liking? No dress code? Some people were in shorts and flip flops and grungy jeans. Yuk! Not what I want to see even on Thursday night.
(1)Garrin H.
(2)Lenny V.
(1)joan p.
(5)Fred G.
(1)Ben S.
(1)Larry M.
(1)Abel K.
hot chicks everywhere. jazz music everywhere. great drinks everywhere ill be back everywhere
(4)Arianna N Shaffer S.
My mom and I have only been once but so far we love it. It is such a fun atmosphere...the music is great and the food is delicious! I wish they had more of a selection though! We got oysters for an appetizer but they were TINY....I think thats my only complaint but otherwise I can't wait to go back again!
(4)Maureen M.
(1)Chuck B.
(1)Captain J.
i have been wanting to check this place out for a while now & finally did last night, After reading all these reviews, Im glad i went on a Wed night to a FREE show...Randy Bernsen. No cover or minimum to buy. Did not eat here, only drank. Drinks are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ($10 captain & Coke). Ambiance is nice. I probably will not return due to the reviews here & the ridiculous seating & cover charge/minimum pp
(3)Jim T.
This place has everything. The food is excellent and if I may suggest get the Brussel Sprouts. They toast them with bacon and apple cider, really good. Live music everywhere you turn. Inside or outside.
(5)Mark Y.
The manager says they do NOT serve people sitting in the patio area. We will NOT be back
(1)Salvatore D.
(4)Cindy C.
Worst experience ever!!!! RUDE management! Treated awful! Embarrassing customers!!!!!! Don't waste your money!
(1)Giovanna M.
(2)Todd O.
(4)Sue F.
(1)Jack L.
(1)Susan Z.

(2)Larry R.
While we were there for an early pre-theater dinner, it looks as if it would be great for an evening hang out
(4)Mayra S.
(5)Olga S.
Great place to dance all Friday or Saturday night. No entrance fee after 10 pm. Cool atmosphere and people around. The drinks could be a little bit watered down and some groups are better than another.

(1)Dani C.

(4)David C.

(5)Dawn G.

Enjoy.

That may have been the highlight of the show!

i have been wanting to check this place out for a while now & finally did last night, After reading all these reviews, Im glad i went on a Wed night to a FREE show...Randy Bernsen. No cover or minimum to buy. Did not eat here, only drank. Drinks are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ($10 captain & Coke). Ambiance is nice. I probably will not return due to the reviews here & the ridiculous seating & cover charge/minimum pp

This place has everything. The food is excellent and if I may suggest get the Brussel Sprouts. They toast them with bacon and apple cider, really good. Live music everywhere you turn. Inside or outside.

Great place to dance all Friday or Saturday night. No entrance fee after 10 pm. Cool atmosphere and people around. The drinks could be a little bit watered down and some groups are better than another.

(2)Beth B.
(4)Alex V.

(1)Gary S.
Gorgeous club. Excellent food. Audience would not shut up during the jazz and the kitchen crew was shouting at each other during the set. Cherish this place before it goes out of business!
(3)Sandy O.
(2)Mike Z.

(3)Ron R.
(1)Fran L.
A huge disappointment. Food was skimpy for the price, and too much fried stuff. Venue was entertaining but not to our liking? No dress code? Some people were in shorts and flip flops and grungy jeans. Yuk! Not what I want to see even on Thursday night.
(1)Garrin H.
(2)Lenny V.
(1)joan p.
(5)Ben S.
(1)Larry M.
This play game will be over soon, too bad because we need a venue like this, but one that works and is thoughtfully run.

hot chicks everywhere. jazz music everywhere. great drinks everywhere ill be back everywhere
(1)Chuck B.
(1)Jack L.

Worst experience ever!!!! RUDE management! Treated awful! Embarrassing customers!!!!!! Don't waste your money!
(1)Maria A.
(3)April B.
Nice venue but the service is awful. Waited 15 minutes and had to ask for a server since no one greeted us.
(1)Steven L.
This place gives you what it intends.... Great music. Drink. Food. Service is friendly. If you enjoy live jazz. U just gotta go.
(5)Giovanna M.
(2)Susan Z.

(5)Brad L.
Best bar for music in Boca area. Outstanding scotch selection, premium cigars, great entertainment, fabulous menu. Can't miss any night.
(5)Scot M.
(5)Eric T.
(2)Mayra S.
(5)Ronald G.
(1)Melli B.
(3)Mrs T.
We dont recommend and will not go back
(2)Sandy P.
(5)Robert H.
(4)Martin S.
(4)Kathryn C.
There was a $25 person food charge and a $35 per person charge for food at the table. The best part of the evening was the waiter who was very nice. The food was mediocre and overpriced and entertainment was amateur. We left early. I would recommend checking carefully who is performing and sitting in the bar.
(1)Darren S.
(4)Roger M.
(4)David C.
(1)Steve S.
Cigar bar is very comfortable. Our bartender was great. Knowledgable and attentive. The band in the main space was terrific and the food was excellent although our waiter was not the most customer service oriented.
(5)Merri K.
(5)Frances M.
The place was honestly really nice. The entertainment was great but the service was horrible. The employees were so rude to us that we felt forced to leave the restaurant. Never in my life have I been so mistreated by a server. Was very displeased and I will seriously never go there again.
(1)Dani C.
Gotta agree with everyone else... This is my fourth visit here... LOVE the ambiance, Boca def needs a place like this, but if they don't work on the service, it won't last... Too slow and no one cares if you get served in a timely manner and/or get what you wanted.
(2)Dawn G.

Enjoy.

Very nice place, but food is just okay. Many better places to eat in Boca Raton. Try to get on the A list before you go. You will have a better experience.
